Communicating Fashion Through Digital

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), in Las Vegas, NV, e3 was representing Dane-Elec Memory for the annual launch of their new technology product lines within the flash memory industry. As owner, Rob Evans, was meeting with major retailers including Target, Best Buy, and Costco, the Business Development Manager for Proctor and Gamble’s Duracell Division approached e3. He mentioned that his team has been following the impressive actions that Dane-Elec and e3 had been taking with new product offerings, marketing, packaging, sales volume, and branding efforts with other major players in entertainment and flash memory technology.

Duracell had done their own research with focus groups. As the leader in household batteries for electronics Duracell naturally believed that they could also provide the flash memory product used in cameras, computers, and phones. At the time Duracell Flash Memory didn’t exist.

Cross-Platform Design & Development

The potential high volume of sales was highly attractive to the Duracell team. E3’s ability to customize and understand the changing needs of clients was a natural fit for the well-known Duracell brand.

Brand Consistency & Market Research

For over a year, e3 worked directly with the Duracell Marketing team to develop a major retail packaging, brand, and long-term-growth. The results were as expected. With great anticipation we walked into multiple retailers looking for our new product line. We presented Duracell Flash as an exclusive licensed partner. Within the first 24 hours of the official launch we saw each retailer achieve well over $1 million in sales of the new product. The reorders Duracell Flash left a backlog of orders for three months within a week of its introduction.

E3 earned a three-year contract with a residual two-year revenue source based on all marketing efforts and product development services. We were also commissioned to help Duracell move their flash-memory line in house to their Chicago production facilities.
